Candied watermelon peels

Next, the pieces of crusts need to fill with water and boil for 10-15 minutes. Then fold the crusts into a colander and cool with water. It is necessary to let the water drain.
Then prepare the syrup, which will boil candied fruit. To do this, take 1.2 kg of sugar and 2 cups of water (500 ml). Bring the syrup to a boil, run 1 kg of crusts into it. It is necessary to cook for 5-7 minutes. Next, turn off and let cool.
Candied watermelon peels are boiled in 4-5 receptions with standing from 10 to 12 hours.At the end of this process add 3 g of citric acid. Candied fruits are thrown back into a colander and allowed to drain.
Finished candied fruit should be spread on a flat surface (on trays). Homemade sweet treat must be completely dried. Candied fruits are well stored in glass jars for a long time. In this case, banks should be tightly closed.
