"Clotrimazole": instructions for use

Cream "Clotrimazole" is applied to the affected areas of the skin and mucous membranes 2-3 times a day. The duration of treatment is from 2 to 4 weeks. If the cream is assigned to the treatment of the oral cavity, it should be used no more than 1-2 times a day, and the duration of treatment in this case is reduced to 7 days. Also, the Clotrimazole cream can be applied intravaginally. A single dose of the drug varies from 100 to 500 mg depending on the doctor's prescription, and the course of treatment can last from 1 to 6 days.
Ointment "Clotrimazole" must be applied in a thin layer on previously cleaned and dry skin 2 or 3 times a day. The duration of the drug depends on the location and severity of the disease. The treatment of pityriasis lichen is carried out within 1�3 weeks, dermatomycosis - at least 4 weeks. When treating fungal diseases of the skin of the feet, the use of Clotrimazole is recommended to continue for 2 weeks after the disappearance of the fungal symptoms.
Vaginal suppositories and clotrimazole tablets should be used for 6 days, 1 tablet or suppository per day. They need to be inserted deep into the vagina in the prone position with slightly bent legs. The introduction is recommended in the evening before bedtime. After consulting the doctor, if necessary, a second course of treatment can be prescribed. In severe cases of the disease, simultaneously with the tablets, Clotrimazole cream is used, which should be applied to the affected areas 2 or 3 times a day for 6�12 days.
The Clotrimazole solution should be applied in a thin layer on previously washed and dry skin areas, capturing both the affected areas and the surrounding areas. Application should be carried out 2 times a day - in the morning and in the evening. When treating dermatomycosis, it is recommended to apply the stop solution after each washing of the feet and use it for at least 2 weeks after the disappearance of the symptoms of the disease.
All clotrimazole dosage forms are contraindicated for use in the first trimester of pregnancy and in case of hypersensitivity to the components. Tablets and suppositories do not apply during menstruation.Ointment and candles "Clotrimazole" may be used with caution during breastfeeding after consulting a doctor. If, during the period of treatment, the patient develops hypersensitivity to the drug or there is severe irritation, the use of Clotrimazole is discontinued.
