Freja Beha Erichsen for Zara Fall/Winter 2012-2013 Campaign
Whenever a fashion house releases an ad campaign, it unveils its seasonal aesthetics only through a few pictures. Michael Kors takes the whole ‘ad campaign business’ extremely seriously. The designer just took the conceptual essence that lies behind it to a brand new level with hisMichael Kors fall 2019 campaign, exclusively channeled by model Freja Beha Erichsen.
With her characteristic effortless side and a well-assorted model squad, the Danish model helped the pictures to better recall the collection’s carefree and strong, confident vibes the American designer had in mind while designing the ensembles.
“For the seasonal campaigns, we’re always looking to capture the mood of the season while still giving customers a subtle look into the inspiration of the collection. For Fall, it was about attitude, personal style and luxury travel but with a very cool, glamorous edge,” explained Kors.
The campaign’s pictures feature models Emmy Rappe, Romy Schonberger, Sven de Vries and Wouter Peelen too, captured in private jets or in helicopters flying over Manhattan. As for Freja Beha Erichsen, she is seen posing in the backseat of a vintage car, which surely adds an almost cinematographic touch to the already extremely well-balanced array of dreamy pictures. Those who have a keen eye for fashion photography may then have already guessed who the man behind the lens is: Mr. Mario Testino.
Given the fact that jocose vibes and contrasting mannish cuts overwhelm the Michael Kors fall/winter 2019-17 collection, Testino managed to skillfully translate the overall aesthetics into what the designer wants us to perceive. This is particularly clear and visible throughout the campaign, as the pictures exude an urban-chic and cosmopolitan sense of fashion that will instantly catapult us in the fanciest restaurant of New York City.
Erichsen’s unconventional beauty undeniably helps Testino to transfer the line-up’s strength into pictures, helping us feel self-confident whether we are wearing one of Kors’ whimsical feathery trousers or histres chicfurry coats.
“Freja’s combo of beauty, dry wit and great sense of personal style make her one of a kind. She’s a tomboy, a fashion girl and the ultimate cool girl all mixed in one.”
The campaign focuses on the accessory line as well, always letting either the handbags or the shoe line grab all the attention. It’s no secret the American designer is particularly strong when it comes to the accessories, as proven by the label’s increasing sales of MK handbags, as well as by the ever-growing number of people who are channeling a Michael Kors handbag down the streets.
To see the printed versions of the campaign we have to wait for the fall issues of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, and France Le Figaro Paris Chic!

Max Mara’s spring/summer 2019 collection was titled “A Sea Tale,” due to its heavy nautical theme. We were ensnared by the brand’s classically impeccable design and execution, so we have been waiting (as patiently as possible) for the campaign to be released to see the clothing in a new medium. Mario Sorrenti was tapped to photograph theMax Mara spring 2019 campaign, and the photoshoot is featuring “Queen of Cool” Danish model Freja Beha Erichsen.
The model lived up to her nickname with her photos, and makes all of the garments she was placed in look stunning and, well, cool. Erichsen has that classic-cool look, where she can embody whatever fashion era or style she is placed into, making her such a versatile woman to work with in the industry. When all was said and done, the campaign had taken a leaning to the ’70s era, working well with the nautically styled stars and stripes of the collection.
There were a great many one-color numbers in the line, but it was the stars and stripes that were featured in the campaign in the end. They evoked the ’70s with slightly bell-bottomed trousers and chunky sweaters, and all the way to the glasses accessorizing the looks. Nude nails and slightly disheveled hair characterized the model, keeping everything classic and easy to transform across the decades. To put it simply, Erichsen was able to just be herself for the photoshoot; she just happened to be wearing some of Max Mara’s stunning new looks for the spring/summer seasons.
From how nautical the runway showing was, we expected there to be some hints to the ocean, but the only real nod was through a roped strap, from one of the line’s handbags. There’s no complaint here on our end, but the direction the campaign took was rather surprising indeed. A white backdrop with graphic black stars being the only thing to add texture to the shoot, the runway show seemed to promise such an upbeat campaign.
Color was not all too plentiful in the runway collection, but it still did carry a strong presence. Yet, that area was void in the Max Mara SS 2019 campaign. In fact, the only break from the black and white mold of the campaign was for other still-neutral colors, completely leaving out the vibrant red, yellow, and blue surprise pieces that walked the catwalk.
But with the Queen of Cool on your side, there’s really no need to shock the audience. Erichsen’s casting was a smart choice for the Max Mara brand, especially since this was the route they decided to go for their collection’s release. All the consumer needs to keep in mind is that Max Mara still knows how to keep things cool, even 65 years later.

There is so much retro appeal to the newMissoni spring/summer 2019 campaignthat we can’t stop talking about it. If you’ve been following this brand for a while, you will still find a new perspective to look at this style from. Surprises are still possible in fashion!
Injected with the careless sexiness, this campaign just can’t be wrong, especially because the Queen of Cool herself is on the cover. Danish model Freja Beha Erichsen poses for the London-based photographer Harley Weir, and the results are below.
Missoni got some of the coolest names in the fashion industry, added its own awesome prints to the package and sent it over for us to enjoy. If you’re not familiar with Weir’s work in general and really like this ad campaign, go ahead and research on him. Most of his works portrait the messy, careless, and intriguing beauty, the one you want to lose yourself in to learn more about it. The same atmosphere is kept in the Missoni spring 2019 ad campaign. The backgrounds are bright, but monochromic (to make the prints pop out more, we’ll talk about this below).
Apart from the model and the simple setting of the shoot, the clothing is what strikes our eye. Many elements of the Missoni style haven’t changed. The brand signature, the famous Missoni knitwear is under the main spotlight. Don’t ever think knitwear is boring; it never is especially when combined with the ‘70s vibe. Low-cut V-necks, form-fitting maxi dresses and jackets accentuating your body silhouette, a sexy bat sleeved cardigan, and backless look… We’ve also got a unique collection of skinny scarves you can pair for almost any event (except the most fancy ones, of course).
These are not just standard retro outfits; it’s very clear that Missoni has tried to make the most out of its knitwear. Not inclining towards cute, or elegant, or edgy… it was surely aiming at sexy, and that’s what it got. It has tones of sensuality and natural appeal; the look is very sandy and relaxed.
The choice of colors and patterns also adds up to the simplicity. This time Missoni went with horizontal and vertical lines, which dominate the collection. The outfits also display pleats, irregular zigzag designs, and optical effects (how fun!). So, as you can see, the shapes and lines are crucial for this collection, perhaps that is why the designs themselves don’t bear any complicated details; you wouldn’t be able to see them in those prints anyway. The shapes are very fixed, but we can see that this clothing would be very comfortable for a spring and summer wear. If you’re planning to have the best time of your life this year, you might want to keep a Missoni dress nearby.
If you love retro, you probably already found many ways to style these outfits and places you can wear them. If you’re into the modern designs, you can still rock a Missoni dress with the right accessories. Most importantly, you should always feel confident when wearing Missoni, this will make you radiate beauty in the entire room.

Denim jackets and leather handbags form the following creative and comprehensive aspect of the collection.
Zadig & Voltaire picked the most creative and great turn and decision ever, choosing this talented and absolutely cute super model as the designer of its new collection. We do believe the results of this collaboration are going to be dazzling and unforgettable, since after having a look at another denim collection Freja designed for Mother, we may already generate an idea about how she manages to combine the brand’s ideology with the creative and charismatic personality of hers, and how she further puts all that into motion, interpreting everything with the language of fashion. So we’re impatient to see and to find more about this collaboration, and to match our already shaped ideas and impressions with the pieces that are actually included in the Freja Beha Erichsen for Zadig & Voltaire 2014 collection.

TheReserved fall/winter 2013-2014 campaignbrings delicately chosen combinations of fur and leather sweaters and vests, smoothly mixed in the background of grey and a bit shaded white overtones with some accents of brown and barn red on the one hand and the stylish interpretation of military concepts, formed by specific elements of classic on the other. After staring in the Reserved fall/winter 2013-2014 lookbook, Danish top modelFreja Beha Erichsenfinally introduced the new stunning campaign of the Polish brand. The immaculate Scottish nature provided Mateusz Stankiewicz with the necessary inspiration to create the exact background for the demonstration of the awesome composition of wild nature and the glaring beauty of the Danish wonder. Karin Smeds prepared the correct stylish “cocktails” for the super model. The rough hairstyle and the natural makeup are created by Łukasz Pycior and Wilson.
The two main subgroups of the overall Reserved fall 2013 collection are created within the framework of the concepts of wild nature and the military style. The main effect of the first, called Wild Life is created with the help of natural animal motives and details: soft fur and tight leather elements nicely put together with light sweaters going with fur vests. The colors also remain within the frames of the main idea: brownish overtones are accompanied with grey and black shades, while white tones go with red, black and soft grey shades.
The second conceptual subgroup of the collection, Premium Soldier is based on the twist of military and classic styles. The strict style of military uniforms is combined with the elements of the classic style, created with blends like white shirt and black coat. Tight forms finalize the desired impression of the original “intrusion” of the military aspect into the classic interpretations. Unique, contrasting and exciting! So yeah. let the show go wild!
