How the profession of the father affects the health of the unborn child
On July 17, the publication Occupational and Environmental Medicine published information confirming the pattern of the influence of the profession of the father of an unborn child on the health of a baby.
Such conclusions were made by researchers from the USA and the Netherlands on the basis of many years of observations. The experience involved 14,000 male volunteers. During the experiments, it was noted that the more a man is exposed to toxins, which include a variety of paints, solvents, chemicals, alcohol and cigarettes, the greater the risk of congenital pathologies in his children. According to statistics, out of 33 newborns in one child, there are various diseases. The reason for them, perhaps, lies precisely in the profession of the father of the baby.
It has been scientifically established that the negative factors that a man is exposed to at work also adversely affect the state of the unborn child and, accordingly, increase the risk of birth defects, affect the growth of male infertility, miscarriage during pregnancy, stillbirths and the occurrence of baby health problems at an early age. If the father is involved in work related to solvents, paints and varnishes, and other toxic materials, the researchers note, his children may experience abnormalities in the gastrointestinal tract, cardiovascular system, and eyes.
Strangely enough, programmers, artists, mathematicians, catering workers, landscape designers, stylists, hairdressers, photographers fell into the category of the most dangerous for the future offspring professions. According to doctors, people in the chemical, oil and gas industries, crane operators and even office workers need to be especially attentive to their health. The list of "paternal" professions that may adversely affect the child, also includes drivers, excavators, printers. In total, scientists have identified 63 categories of dangerous specialties.
In addition, the researchers called professions safe for future children. These include medical professionals, architects and designers, fishermen, firefighters, entertainers, glassblowers, military personnel, professional divers and masons.
