Oatmeal is a filling breakfast choice for those watching their weight. This recipe elevates plain oatmeal above the ordinary. To make it even more special, sprinkle it with some raspberries or blueberries.

Ingredients
water
1 1/3 c. rolled oats
1/4 c. chopped dates
2 tbsp. ground almonds
2 tbsp. honey
large banana, thinly sliced
skim milk
Directions
  1. In a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, bring the water, oats, dates, almonds and honey to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes, or until thick.
  2. Serve with the bananas and milk.
