What is a ministry?

In our country, the political system assumes the existence of such a lever of government as a ministry. Consider what a ministry is and what they are in Russia.

What does the term "ministry" mean?

The ministry called the government body a specific field of activity in the country. They exist in most countries of the world, although there are some internal differences, for example, in the name of the governing body. However, the Ministries of Defense, Foreign Affairs, Health and other most important spheres of human life exist almost everywhere and have similar functions.

The structure of all the ministries of the Russian Federation is similar. The ministry is headed by the minister, who must have a deputy or several of them. Within themselves, ministries are divided into services or agencies that are responsible for a narrower field of activity than the ministry as a whole. Federal ministers are appointed to their positions solely by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, but proposals for their appointment are made by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.

Today in our country there are 22 Federal Ministries that are responsible for such areas of social life as culture, health, education, sports, transport, military defense, agriculture and others.
