And with the third, gastric juice, on the contrary, is produced in small volumes, or its acidity is significantly reduced, and as a result, the food is not fully digested. And nutrition in all the cases listed should be different, because sometimes almost opposite tasks are set.

So how do you figure out what the nutrition should be? Of course, consult a doctor. He will schedule an examination and find out exactly what caused the indigestion,and also make an accurate diagnosis. And still the expert will give recommendations concerning treatment, a way of life and a diet.

What could be the food?

So, what could be nutritional therapy for gastrointestinal diseases? Everything will depend on the specific disease diagnosed, on its stage and the condition of the patient. Just allocate a few basic diets, consider them below.

Diet number 1

Diet number 1 is shown in the period of recovery after a sharp exacerbation of gastritis or ulcers, or with a mild exacerbation of such diseases. Its main tasks are the restoration of mucous membranes, the normalization of all functions of the gastrointestinal organs, the minimization of thermal, chemical and mechanical effects, as well as the provision of good nutrition.

All dishes are steamed, boiled, stewed or baked (but without a crust), coarse foods are preferably chopped. Food is served at room temperature, and you need to eat about 5-6 times a day. The daily caloric content is 2500-3000 calories.

Dietary meals can include dairy foods, such as milk or cream (especially useful before bedtime), wiped dairy or vegetable soups, dried or yesterday's wheat bread, lean and non-coarse varieties of fish or meat, eggs in the form of omelets or soft boiled, boiled and preferably wiped vegetables.

It is not recommended to eat cold, hot, smoked, fried, pickled, fatty. Exclude from the menu strong meat broths, raw vegetables, fresh rye and yeast bread, sour-milk products, as well as fatty fish and meat.

Diet number 1a

This diet is indicated for acute exacerbations of gastritis or ulcers. Its main goals are the following: providing the necessary nutrients (which is especially important for bed rest), maximum shaving of the digestive system, and accelerating the recovery of mucous membranes.

Caloric content is somewhat lowered (to 2000), all food is crushed as much as possible, the amount of salt is limited, hot or cold dishes are excluded.

The diet may include mucous soups, fish stews, low-fat dairy products, boiled lean meat, minced oatmeal, boiled eggs or in the form of steam omelets, fruit jelly.

It excludes the use of any vegetables, any bread, dairy products, strong broths, fresh fruits and berries, as well as fried, sour, fatty, salty, smoked.

Diet number 1b

Proper nutrition for diet No. 1b is recommended for such diseases as gastritis or ulcer, but during remission, that is, attenuation of exacerbation.The main tasks are the provision of good nutrition, prevention of subsequent exacerbations, restoration of mucous membranes, as well as mechanical, thermal and chemical schazhenie.

The consumption of any products that stimulate the secretion of gastric juice is limited, the daily caloric content is about 2.5 thousand calories, food is steamed or boiled, crushed (if the products are coarse and hard). Meals are served slightly warmed up, as strongly hot or cold is prohibited.

The menu includes mucous soups, crackers or dried bread, low-fat fish or meat (preferably shredded), liquid cereals, eggs (boiled or omelets), vegetable boiled puree, mousses, jellies and jelly from berries and fruits.

Fresh berries and fruits are excluded from the diet, as well as vegetables, dairy products, fried, pickled and salted, smoked, strong meat broths, fatty fish and meat.

Diet number 2

Diet number 2 is indicated for chronic gastrointestinal diseases such as gastritis, ulcer, enteritis, colitis, pancreatitis, and so on, but without exacerbation. Also, this food is suitable for the child, because the main tasks are the flow of nutrientsas well as the normalization of the functions of the digestive organs.

This is almost a full-fledged diet, implying only moderate sparing. Dishes of different degrees of grinding (including shredded), boiled, steam, stewed, baked and even fried without a crust are allowed. The heavy products which are late for a long time in a digestive tract are excluded.

Include in the diet weak broths, various soups, lean meat and fish, dairy and moderate amounts of dairy products, yesterday's or slightly dried bread, eggs, cereals, boiled or grated vegetables, and not too sour berries and fruits.

Excluded vegetables, stimulating the increase in acidity of the digestive juice and damaging mucous membranes (white cabbage, garlic, radishes, onions, radishes, rutabagas, cucumbers), mushrooms, legumes, fresh bread, fatty, salty, fried, flour.

Diet number 3

This diet is recommended for intestinal diseases, especially those accompanied by constipation. Its main objectives are to stimulate intestinal peristalsis and improve digestion. Caloric value is about 2700-3000 calories.

The diet includes fiber-rich foods: vegetables, berries and fruits.Also recommended wheat (from flour 2 grades) or rye bread, cereals, various sour-milk products, vegetables, low-fat fish and meat.

From the diet should be excluded fresh bread, rice and semolina, spicy, fried, fatty, legumes, pasta.

Diet number 4

This diet is indicated for intestinal diseases accompanied by diarrhea. Its tasks are to stop putrefactive or fermenting processes, normalize intestinal functions and ensure the receipt of all necessary substances.

Any foods that irritate the intestinal walls, as well as stimulate the production of intestinal juice and cause fermentation or decay, are limited. Products are cooked or steamed, crushed.

The ration includes liquid or pureed soups, weak broths, fresh dairy products, lean fish and meat, liquid porridges, and kissels.

Eliminate the use of dairy products, fresh berries, vegetables and fruits, bread, fried, flour, fatty, legumes, pasta.

Diet number 5

This food is shown in various liver diseases. Its tasks are to cleanse this body, as well as to restore all its functions and to ensure the most complete and balanced diet. Meals are cooked, stewed, steamed, rarely baked. Cold dishes are excluded.

The menu may include lean, fish, meat, dairy and fruit soups, dried bread, lean types of fish and meat, eggs, almost all cereals, vegetables, fresh or boiled, fruits, berries, dairy products.

Excludes fresh bread, chocolate, fatty dairy products, fatty, spicy, fried flour, very sweet.
